Nearly 60 members of the EERA community met in Brussels in June for the Annual Strategy Meeting 2026. Together, they took part in expert presentations, interactive breakout sessions and strategic sessions focused on the future of European energy research and innovation. 

The agenda centred on some of the most important developments for the research community, including FP10, the European Competitiveness Fund, the SET Plan, and future developments of the EERA community.  

The meeting featured also presentations from Beatrice Coda (Head of Unit, DG RTD, EC), Vincent Berrutto (Head of Unit, DG ENER, EC), Baptiste Buet (Director of EU Business Unit, InnoEnergy) and Professor Silvia Bodoardo (Politecnico di Torino), who shared their significant expertise on key policy and research developments throughout the programme. 

The Annual Strategy Meeting remains one of EERA's main strategic meetings, giving members the opportunity to review ongoing initiatives, identify priorities for the months ahead, and contribute to the future direction of its community.
