DESCRIPTION:From science to market – Implementing the Clean Industrial Deal for a competitive, low-carbon Europe  As we enter the second year of the European Union’s current institutional cycle, with rising pressure on Europe’s ability to ensure long-term prosperity and global competitiveness, the strategic direction of policies is taking shape within an ever-evolving landscape of competing priorities. In this complex environment, the Clean Industrial Deal is emerging as a cornerstone of the EU's response to the twin challenge of competitiveness and decarbonisation. The time is therefore ripe to examine how policy, research, and industry can work together to turn ambition into implementation to sustain Europe’s social model and market economy in a shifting geopolitical, economic, and societal context.   The 5th edition of the EERA High-Level Policy Conference will offer a space for critical reflection and forward-looking dialogue on how low-carbon energy research and innovation can support this endeavour. In a crowded Brussels calendar, this conference stands out by offering grounded, science-informed perspectives and bringing them into direct conversation with policymakers, industrial stakeholders, and civil society representatives. This year’s agenda will revolve around three critical themes:     The role of innovation hubs in accelerating the journey from research to market.   The transformative impact of artificial intelligence for smart, low-carbon energy systems.   The urgency of building resilience and preparedness into Europe’s energy transition strategy.   By exploring these topics, the conference will examine how Europe can turn the Clean Industrial Deal into a lever for global leadership, combining competitive strength, climate ambition, research excellence and societal impact.
