Fraunhofer Webinar: (Re-)Powering the transformation: the digitalization of the energy system

High dependency on fossil fuels, disrupted supply chains, and increasing pressure to decarbonize the economy - Europe faces unprecedented challenges to its energy security and independence: a transformation of the energy system is crucial.

As highlighted in the EU strategy for energy system integration, we need to turn today’s inefficient flows of energy around and enable the system-wide digitalization of the energy sector to spur on the clean energy transition. In support of the upcoming EU action plan for digitalizing the energy sector, Fraunhofer drives the green and digital transformation of the energy sector. We cover the whole value chain with a broad portfolio and integrate findings from applied research into the market. Our institutes develop reliable, resilient and cost-efficient solutions for the digitalized energy sector of tomorrow.

Learn more about energy data spaces, standardization needs, and data infrastructures fit for the future. Listen to the rapporteur for the Renewable Energy Directive (RED III), Markus Pieper (MEP) on the latest political developments. Join us for an insightful discussion on the potential of and the barriers to the digitalization of the energy sector!

The webinar will be held on Microsoft Teams. Registrations are open until 5 October 15:00 CEST.
