The workshop will have three presentations about opportunities and potential barriers we should expect from the European Green Deal. The goal is to reflect on how bioenergy companies and researchers can and will respond to the European Green Deal goals. To our understanding, bioenergy is key in achieving sustainable and fair alternatives to fossil fuels. EERA Bioenergy in general, and sub-programme 5 in particular, also share a common vision of bioenergy being crucial for the energy market to accomplish European carbon targets and for reaching the ambitious goals of the European Green Deal. Consequently, we should be aware of the changes coming up to the bioenergy landscape.
