EUA-EPUE and UNI-SET consortium call for energy experts – deadline: 23 June

The European Platform for Universities in Energy Research & Education (EUA-EPUE) and the UNI-SET consortium are looking for your support and experience in advancing university-based energy education and research in Europe.

The initiative follows the publication of the “Roadmap for European Universities in Energy” and the “European Atlas of Universities in Energy Research & Education”. It intends to draft strategic thematic documents providing guidelines for the update of education and research programmes. The initiative is titled “Energy Pan-European Action Agendas for Universities: Identifying New Paradigms in Energy Higher Education and Research”.

We are in particular looking for experts to:

  • Review the “Action Agendas for Universities” which outline new paradigms in energy education and research and formulate recommendations and good practices for universities aiming to upgrade their education and research activities. The “new paradigms” will address horizontal content of multi-disciplinary education and research programmes with a specific focus on: Energy Efficiency; Energy Systems & Smart Grids; Sustainable Transport; Integration of Renewables.

The strategic documents will be presented at the 6th UNI-SET Energy Clustering Event which will take place from 23 to 24 October 2017 in Brussels.

To participate, please send your CV indicating your areas of expertise in the field of energy to by Friday, 23 June 2017.

The Call has been published during the 5th Energy Clustering Event “Science & Skills for Renewables Integration” which was organised at KU Leuven from 31 May to 2 June 2017. You can find a summary of the event and the presentations online.
