EERA General Assembly 2019

24/04/2019

This event is restricted to EERA members

Dear EERA member,

We are pleased to invite you to this year’s EERA General Assembly, which will take place on Wednesday, 24 April 2019, in the Crowne Plaza Brussels (link).

Last year has been a year of transition for EERA in many respects. Our core positioning – representing the research pillar in the SET-Plan – is evolving towards a wider and more strategic role at national and EU levels. With regards to the more than ambitious objectives of the Paris Agreement and the related EU vision „A clean planet for all”, we are broadening EERA’s approach and increasing our contributions, giving EERA and its members a strong voice in Europe. This goes hand in hand with a general operational professionalisation. These developments are reflected in the agenda.

Secondly, we would like to draw your attention to the fact that a new Executive Committee is to be selected according to criteria defined in the EERA Statutes and to be approved by the General Assembly. This renewal also comprises the EERA Chair and Vice Chair, to be elected by the newly composed Executive Committee. Please find the call for expressions of interest here. The deadline for applications is 7 March 2019, CoB.

Who is entitled to participate in the General Assembly?

All EERA members are invited to participate. Only the official representatives of EERA full members – 1 person per member organisation – that have paid their EERA aisbl membership fee for 2019 before 17 April 2019 are allowed to vote. Associate members have the right to state their view, which may be taken into account by the full members when taking decisions.

Registration for the General Assembly is open – please confirm your attendance by 10 April and indicate whether you are the official representative of your organisation: Registration form
